Three life defining principles
Always deliver excellence – no matter the role
Viktors’ first job was at a McDonald’s near the central station in Riga during high school summer break, at age of 17. His first paycheck was 70 lats — around €209 today, adjusted for inflation. He approached the job with such dedication that the restaurant manager tried to convince him to skip university and manage the branch instead. Viktors declined respectfully, saved his earnings, and moved forward toward much bigger ambitions.
Stepping up when it matters most
At just 33, Viktors became the youngest CEO in banking industry across the region at a time. In this role, he shaped a leadership style rooted in integrity and leading by example — always striving to leave a positive impact. The journey included tough decisions and complex challenges, each one contributing to personal growth and strengthening his character.
Long-term focus leads to real results
Viktors has never shied away from challenges, and his long-term focus has consistently delivered results. Whether it was setting his sights on Stockholm School of Economics in Riga already in 8th grade of high-school, leading a European youth club during Latvia’s EU accession in 2004, playing semi-professional football, or the most meaningful of all — building a strong family raising his three children, and aspiring for providing options to his family and exploring the world.
